The Murati’s Story

Grown from a love of good food, good entertainment, and even better company, the Murati’s story begins with our favourite family memories.

It All Started With Our Childhood Memories

As a family, we’ve always loved entertaining and cooking. Most gatherings and festive celebrations were hosted at our family home, where we would cook, entertain and enjoy spending time together.

Growing up, all of our best memories were spent enjoying tasty food surrounded by our loved ones. We loved to go on family holidays, entertain guests and visit our favourite Italian restaurants, where we’d spend every birthday celebration. Cooking delicious traditional dishes and spending time together has always been at the heart of our family.

Our goal was and always will be to share these wonderful memories we have as children with our customers. We knew that Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas were missing an affordable, family-run restaurant with a super homely atmosphere, and from here came Murati’s Pizzeria!

Opening The First Murati’s – It Was An Instant Success…

In 2016, Honney opened the very first Murati’s Pizzeria in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, not expecting much but a few bookings – the turnout couldn’t have been more the opposite!

From our very first day of opening, we ran out of pizza dough and ingredients almost every night. We were fully booked weeks in advance, and even we had to enlist our friends and family to help out!

We started to organise belly dancers, live music and more to create the best possible atmosphere for our customers. The feedback was amazing, and we have continued to maintain this fantastic reputation years on.

And, We’ve Continued To Grow Ever Since!

Our Wolverton restaurant continued to be fully booked every evening, so we started the search for a larger venue. This landed us at Newport Pagnell, which we opened in 2018 to create a restaurant with a real social buzz, complete with a bar. Just the following year came our Olney location, a much smaller and quaint restaurant with a more intimate and private atmosphere.

In 2021, we were lucky enough to open our 4th restaurant in Daventry, following tons of requests from our customers who lived in the area but would travel to Newport Pagnell to dine with us.

We couldn’t be prouder of how much we have grown in such a short space of time, and it’s all down to our immense support. Our customers remain at the root of Murati’s; we genuinely care about their experience when dining with us, with many becoming great friends!
